Drinks

Start the evening off with a few drinks at Above The Dove. It's a lively place to begin your tour, with lots of great drinks and special promotions.

Dinner

Next, head down to 1255 19th St for dinner at Akebono Japanese Restaurant, where, if you want, everything is prepared right in front of you, at their famous sushi bar. Get a taste of great Japanese cuisine, washed down with some saké, and build up your energy for the rest of the evening.

• Leave Above The Dove, walking half a block south-west to 19th and Market streets
• Turn right, walking one block south-east
• Walk past the Japanese garden, to the elevator behind it

Dancing

Hit the dancefloor at the Ballpark Neighborhood's vibrant nightclub, Polly Esthers, located in the Danceplex at 2301 Blake Street, just three short blocks from Sushi Mori. Friday night is Ladies Night at Polly Esthers', and there are lots of special offers to be had, including $2 beers.

• Head out of Sushi Mori, walk north-east three blocks along Market St, to 23rd Street
• Walk north-west one block up 23rd Street, to Blake Street
• Turn right
• Polly Esthers is two doors along on the left

After Hours

Recuperate from your dancefloor exertions with a coffee, tea, or fruit tonic! Visit Monkey Bean Coffee & Bistro! It's one of the hippest coffee houses in the Ballpark Neighborhood, and it's open late, until 3am at the weekends, and midnight during the week, making it perfect for a post-club drink.

The décor is funky and fun, the food and drinks are superb, and there are board games, lots of comfy chairs, and free wireless Internet access, should you and the gang need to start planning your next girls' night out!
