Guiry's
A Denver Tradition Since 1899
According to a 1999 article in the Rocky Mountain News, Guiry’s Inc. started out as a “humble paper cleaning” company in Denver in 1899. A year later the Guiry brothers expanded the business to include paint and decorating when they opened a shop on 17th and Curtis. In 1910, they moved to 1435 Court Place.
The Guiry Family has weathered more than a few economic storms, including the great depression, wars, and the emergence of national hardware chain stores, but their personalized service and quality goods have seen them grow to six stores throughout the Front Range. The store on Market Street in the Ballpark neighborhood was a “return to our roots,” says fourth generation Patrick Guiry.
