Meeting Minutes

February 9, 2004

Opening

The regular meeting of the Ballpark Neighborhood Association was called
to order at 1:30 PM on February 9, 2004 at The Gill Foundation by Max
Silverman.

Present

Max, Eric, David, Malia, Judy, Johnny K, Barb, John S

The Meeting

1. Michael & Lori from Mattina updated the board regarding their
   application for a Beer and Wine License for 2240 Market St. They brought
   signed copies of a good neighbor agreement. Judy moved that the BPNA
   support the license application, 2nd by John S. all approved.
2. Barb requested a need for communication from the board for content
   for website. Malia will be the boards contact and will communicate with
   Barb at Exposure International.
3. Al Kriser and Katrina Wright presented dates (July 9th and 10th) for
   this year's Lodo Music Fest. Thy commented that last year was successful
   and difficult and that they are committed to continue to have the fest.
   They will be looking for more support from the neighborhood for this
   year's fest.
4. Carlos Francis from Buenos Aries Pizzeria 1107 22nd St seeks support
   for Beer and Wine License. Judy has presented him with a good neighbor
   agreement which he will sign. His hearing is set for March 22nd. Judy
   moved that the BPNA support his license application, 2nd by Malia, all
   board members at that meeting in favor (8).
5. Johnny K moved to approve December General meeting, 2nd by Malia, all
   in favor.
6. Minutes from January board meeting corrected to phrasing "strongly
   oppose" in regards to the license transfers at Garibaldi's. David moved
   to approve the corrected minutes, Judy 2nd, all board members at that
   meeting in favor (5)
7. Minutes from Special Meeting January 21st corrected to mention excess
   legal fees go to a general fund. David moved to approve minutes as
   corrected, Judy 2nd, all board members at that meeting in favor (6)

9. Impulse Theater will be applying for Dance Cabaret license for 2020
   Lawrence.
10. 2019 Stout Good neighbor agreement signed.
11. Johnny K moves to approve Malia replacing Hyland as board member,
    David 2nd, all in favor.
12. Direct Dental Plans of America possible membership tabled.
13. Mention of upcoming municipal and Blueprint Denver meetings.
14. Letter of support sent for new tenant-sound recording studio.
15. Change of bank tabled.
16. BPNA boundaries update: presentation to be made at next board
    meeting.
17. I-70 East Corridor next meeting 2-18-2004, 2-19-2004.
18. 2400 Broadway rezoned, waiting for confirmation.
19. Downtown Denver Partnership's Breakfast meeting attended by David,
    Judy, and Max- nothing to report.
20. Next Neighborhood congress will be held 2-19-2004 and 3-4-2004.
21. Johnny K moved to adjourn, Judy 2nd, all in favor
