Minutes

1) Motion to approve minutes from Board Meeting 2/10/05. Carried: 8-0-1

2) Judy said that the hearing for The Walnut Foundry on 3/9/05 went well.

3) Yazoo’s is applying for a wine and liquor license. Their hearing is 4/4/05 @ 9am @ E & L. Their occupancy is 30 and hours of operation are 11am-7pm in the winter and until 9pm in the summer. They also have an outdoor sitting area. Owner currently polices the immediate are for trash and weeds. Motion to support the license carried 10-0-0.

4) Larimer Exchange @ 2701 Larimer St. hearing for Tavern and Dance Cabaret License is 4/18/05 @ 9am @ E& L. Tour of premises is 3/30/05 @ 7pm.

5) David Clamage’s 4-point proposal for bars includes lighting, signage, ambassadors & extended hours until 4am. The funding has not been identified and the proposal doesn’t adequately address other underlying issues.

6) Cingular LoDo Fest in the Ballpark Neighborhood is June 17 & 18 (possibly 19). Moving over to Lawrence & maybe part of Larimer Sts. 20th to 22nd. Ron Phelps to head up booth and volunteer coordination.

7) Piggly-Wiggly new “owner” is considering a change in zoning to R-M-U 30. No association involvement yet. They need to follow the city’s guidelines.

8) Triangle Park has several design proposals and will be narrowed down to the ones that discourage eating, sleeping, drug sales and usage etc. in the park.

9) D-Map I-70 extensions & light rail extensions and proposed and alternative locations for stops along routes. RTD proposed the maintenance facility for diesel trains at 1 of 3 locations close to our neighborhood.

10) Inc meeting: zoning problems are occurring when department approves plans that don’t meet city codes for set backs and other criteria. City says that if Zoning Department makes the mistake then there is no recourse. INC. voted to require developers to pay fair market value for the land when streets or alleys are vacated.

11) Judy to study the possibility of BPNA using The Gill Foundation’s parking lot for fundraising during Rockies games.

12) Johnny Klein is updating the NODO Alliance website & should soon be back from his leave of absence.
